This year it will be 91 years since Charles A. Lindbergh landed his airplane Spirit of St. Louis near Paris and completed the first solo airplane flight across the Atlantic Ocean. At that time he was only 25-year-old aviator.
He started the flight from Roosevelt Field at Long Island on 20th of May. It took 33,5 hours to reach Le Bourget Aerodrome.
In the most critical moments of his flight Charles Lindbergh flow only 10 feet above the top of the waves, fighting against icy flight conditions or navigation difficulties.
His airplane now can be seen at National Air and Space Museum exposition in Washington DC.
